On June 1, 2025, on Children's Day, the Mayor of Ciechanów, Krzysztof Kosiński, officially opened the newly built Municipal Nursery No. 2 on Prymasa Tysiąclecia Street. The ceremony was attended by representatives of national and local authorities, contractors, parents, caregivers, and the youngest children, who will start attending the facility as of September. Among the guests were Kamil Kowalczyk, member of the Management Board of Unihouse, and Łukasz Kowalczuk, contract manager.
The new nursery is the first such facility opened in Ciechanów since 1991. The building, covering over 1,100 m², will accommodate 100 children. The nursery includes five spacious units, each with its own classroom, sanitary facilities, nap room, and storage space. The facility is equipped with modern furniture and educational tools supporting the development of children aged 0 to 3 years. The building also features a fully equipped catering facility that will allow the preparation of healthy, hot meals on site.
A wooden, partially covered terrace runs along the entire building, offering a view of the Castle of the Dukes of Mazovia. From the terrace, children can directly access an attractive, safe playground with fall-absorbing surfaces and numerous devices supporting physical development. The area surrounding the building, approximately 6,500 m², was developed with new trees and decorative plants, pedestrian paths, and parking spaces for parents and caregivers.
The nursery was built using modern modular technology by Unihouse. The building is equipped with a heat pump and photovoltaic panels, which optimized both the construction process and future operating costs. The total investment value is PLN 15.9 million. The city secured funding from the National Recovery Plan, the European Funds for Social Development Program (co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus) within the EU's 2021–2027 financial perspective, and from the budget of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
"This is one of the most modern and best-equipped nurseries in Poland. This municipal investment has been awaited by parents for years. For the first time this year, during the nursery admission process, we did not have to refuse any parent. All children whose parents applied to the two municipal nurseries in the city will have a place with professional care," said Krzysztof Kosiński, Mayor of Ciechanów.
Modular construction proved to be the perfect solution for this project, offering a short construction time, cost optimization, and high-quality workmanship.
We thank the City of Ciechanów for their trust and the opportunity to deliver this important investment.
